Subway Sandwiches are sponsoring the Freedom Walk.
That's good, hell it's great.
It means that by displaying this type of so-called "patriotism"
you're still walking a thin line and hasn't completely moved over to a Red
Square may day parade mentality.
I would hope that Subway have enough sense to back away if they felt this
event turned into a facist-like love fest of all that is so-called "true
american" (waiving flags, no questions asked, countrymusic).
When it comes to trust of the current US goverment or big business, I'll take big business. At least Subway listens to what people want, for profits sake but still, and they would back down if things got out of hand with the march (see the Minutemen link under "we didn't say it").
So that's why
I think the Freedom Walk should go on. That's why I'm not as discusted of
this exploit of 11/9 as I though I would be.
I'm even looking forward to next year, maybe they will display missiles and
maybe Bush will stand on a balcony waving.
At least then we'll know who's in and who's out favour based on who's on the
balcony.
